Isaiah 28:16 KJV
Therefore thus saith the Lord God , Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone , a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
I like to stay with the last part of the passage in focus tonight. He that believes shall not make haste. One of the first thing faith teaches us is patience. In faith, patience is essential and God would allow circumstances to test your faith and what you seem to believe. So, faith is not hasty.
Many have assumed faith to a hasty acquisition of things and have not learnt the act of waiting. In faith, we patiently wait. James admonishes us that the trying of our faith works patience. And when patience is perfected, we also will become perfected and entire.
What we need to learn is the ability to believe, hence, we will not make haste. Hasty decisions usually ends in a sorry state. Kill every hasty tendencies trying to find expression in you, believe in God. God bless you.
