The person of Jesus is a mystery that must be taught because He is now been unveiled to the church. Christ that was known in the flesh is no longer known in that order of the flesh, something has happened.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, THOUGH WE HAVE KNOWN CHRIST AFTER THE FLESH, YET NOW HENCEFORTH KNOW WE HIM NO MORE.

This does not mean when He comes we won’t know Him again in the body form, but something has happened to that body. We do not know Him after the flesh. Even when He rose some people could not recognized Him, He had to reveal Himself so to be known.

Luke 24:15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, JESUS HIMSELF DREW NEAR, AND WENT WITH THEM.

Luke 24:16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

24:18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

24:19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

24:22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

24:23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24:24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

24:28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

They don’t know throughout and He shared the word with them beginning from Moses, it was until Jesus broke the bread with them that their eyes were opened to know is Him and it all because they partook of His body. That’s why the communion is also for the opening of the eyes to see the Lord.

Luke 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he TOOK BREAD, and blessed it, and BRAKE, and gave to them.

24:31 And THEIR EYES WERE OPENED, AND THEY KNEW HIM; and he vanished out of their sight.

24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

The person of Christ now need to be unveiled, and it has been given to the church.

The Apostles speaking said that Jesus that you guys crucified in the flesh has become something, you need to know.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same JESUS, WHOM YE HAVE CRUCIFIED, BOTH LORD AND CHRIST.

Jesus was crucified to be made Lord and Christ, that’s the purpose of death to Him for man. Made to become Lord and Christ for man for Whom the church must come into. For Christ is the end of man in God. Christ is what man must become in God.

That’s how to come high in the kingdom you become a child. Man was said to be made lower than the angels and Jesus was made to be lower than the angels but for the purpose of death. You must understand that. Let’s see.

Hebrews 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

2:9 But we see JESUS, WHO WAS MADE A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS FOR THE SUFFERING OF DEATH, CROWNED WITH GLORY AND HONOUR; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

You see that, He was made lower than the angels for the purpose of the suffering of death. Jesus was obedience to God, and because of man He tasted death for every man. After this we saw what followed, He was crowned with glory and honour. He was made lower to be made higher.

We saw also that He was obedience to the death of the cross for the purpose of man. Let me say this very quickly, no man love to be made low, every man love to be made high and we can even fight for it, but in the making of been low lies the power of been made high and this can’t be done without you having the mind of Christ.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

2:9 Wherefore God also hath HIGHLY EXALTED HIM, and given him a name which is above every name:

2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

You see that, we need that mind of Christ. Every man love self identification, even when Jesus was with those folks in Luke 24 He never introduced Himself from the beginning of the conversation even to the last, until He broke the bread they now knew Him. This tells the person of Christ can be despised, hence the need to be humble.

We saw that for us as believers to be made high we need to become low.

Romans 12: 16
Work happily together. Don’t try to act big. Don’t try to get into the good graces of important people, but enjoy the company of ordinary folks. And don’t think you know it all! (TLB)

Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! (NLT)

Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. KJV

We need not to be high minded. Resurrection comes by dying. Jesus went low to be raised high. For Jesus to ascend He first descended. That’s it. Think about that.

Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

That’s it, that’s how God does it. To make you know that in other to make us righteous He became sin. Sin is low to Him but He became sin, He submitted Himself for it. We must understand that all these were done for our purpose. Jesus speaking, He said

John 17:19 AND FOR THEIR SAKES I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

It was for our sake. Even being made the righteousness of God was for our sake. Jesus had no sin but it was for our sake that He was made sin, not that He passed through sin, but He was made sin and it was for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

To be made high you need to become low, been low is not by deeds of the flesh but by the circumcision of the heart, a man may be low in the open yet high minded in the heart. We must take up that mind of Christ and begin to live like He lived. Jesus was made sin, sin is low, that we might become the righteous of God by Christ Jesus. Righteousness is a higher law against the law of sin and death, righteousness is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, it is higher than sin and that’s what Jesus has made us to be, righteousness of God by Christ Jesus. Jesus was made sin so that through it He might destroy the power of sin, Jesus died so that through death He might destroy the power of death. Sin brings death.

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

For Jesus to save man from the power of death and sin He had to pass through it that’s why this

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, MADE UNDER THE LAW,

4:5 TO REDEEM THEM THAT WERE UNDER THE LAW, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Jesus endured the cross for what was before Him. He has become what is before us now, we must also endure to the end. A man that live low in the sense that showing the meekness of Christ is the one that has the mind of Christ in Him. This is not to give in to a lower life and this is not to be made high minded but to let that mind of Christ be in us. To be made high is to first be made low. Something high has the tendency to fall but something low has the tendency to rise. Stay focus with the mind of Christ always. Keep walking…
