THE PURPOSE OF JESUS DEATH FOR ALL MAN.
This is one question that I see all Muslim ask around. How could God allow Jesus to die. You should ask what is the purpose of His death? Then we can start from there? Why did God allowed Jesus to be crucified? Note: I’m not here to argue.
The reason why Jesus came was to save man from sin. Please I will show you in the Bible.
Romans 5:19 For as by ONE MAN’S DISOBEDIENCE many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
You noticed the word BY ONE MAN’S DISOBEDIENCE.
Who is that man? How did he disobeyed? What did he disobey?
The man was Adam
God gave him a commandment
He disobeyed that commandment. Let’s see it. He was the first man that was named. He was given authority to name things.
Genesis 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever ADAM called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
So God gave him the commandment.
Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God COMMANDED THE MAN, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
So he went and eat of the tree, the wife eat it and gave it to him.
Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, SHE TOOK OF THE FRUIT THEREOF, and DID EAT, AND GAVE ALSO UNTO HER HUSBAND WITH HER; AND HE DID EAT.
So that’s how he disobeyed God and he fell.
So the scriptures read further that
Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience MANY WERE MADE SINNERS, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Don’t forget, that by one’s disobedience it resulted to making many sinners, we see that another place said it that.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
It was through that one man’s disobedience. Do you get? You should ask that how could one man make all many sinners? It was because he was the first man and by him all others will follow. It’s like using one container to make a bread, you make the first bread, then when you want to make many more breads using that container, they will all take the shape of that container. So that’s what happened. So many were made sinners. So God had to save man from this line of sin, and no one could stand in that capacity to save man from their sins. Sacrifices were made for sin but it was not enough. And it could not cleanse as it should.
Hebrews 10:4 FOR IT IS NOT POSSIBLE that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
We see the word it is not possible…
That’s why, you would have hear in some morning cries and inside the bus when people preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in the bus or street that
John 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, that HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
So, it because of that that Jesus was given. We see again about the sacrifices made and while Jesus blood was the only one who could cleanse all men from their sin. It was because He was the Son of God. The blood of bull could not do that work.
Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
9:14 HOW MUCH MORE SHALL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
We see again that His death took us out of darkness into light by the blood of His cross.
Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
1:14 IN WHOM we have redemption through HIS BLOOD, even the forgiveness of sins:
So through the death, and that God allowed Jesus to be crucified on the cross, it brought peace to us. By ending that life of sin for all men.
Colossians 1:20 And, HAVING MADE PEACE THROUGH THE BLOOD OF HIS CROSS, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST:
The truth is, we understand by His birth that He was born for it.
Isaiah 9:6 FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The birth came in play
Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
1:21 And SHE SHALL BRING FORTH A SON, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: FOR HE SHALL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS.
1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
We saw Him saying it that He was on earth to save the world.
John 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but TO SAVE THE WORLD.
So you see, that the purpose why Jesus Christ came to take away our sins and to give us eternal life, the life as God has it. I can tell you that it was God Who actually bruise the Son, if you want to know.
Isaiah 53:10 YET IT PLEASED THE LORD TO BRUISE HIM; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He was slain from the foundation of the world.
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of THE LAMB(JESUS) SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.
You may ask that why then the need for Him to come again, just read, the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have SUFFERED SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD: but now once in the end of the world hath HE APPEARED TO PUT AWAY SIN BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF.
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1:20 WHO VERILY WAS FOREORDAINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, BUT WAS MANIFEST IN THESE LAST TIMES FOR YOU,
Notice: But was manifest in these last time for you.
We see that the whole thing was concluded from the beginning.
Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: ALTHOUGH THE WORKS WERE FINISHED FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.
We see Jesus affirming it on the cross when He died.
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, IT IS FINISHED: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
This is how man was saved from sin, so let’s see what completed the text we started with.
Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, SO BY THE OBEDIENCE OF ONE SHALL MANY BE MADE RIGHTEOUS.
That one man is talking of another person, not the same man that disobeyed and we see that it was Jesus Christ. It say through his obedience of the cross through death, he made all men righteous. The Father made Him to become sin for you.
2 Corinthians 5:21 FOR HE HATH MADE HIM TO BE SIN FOR US, who knew no sin; THAT WE MIGHT BE MADE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, HE HUMBLED HIMSELF, AND BECAME OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH, EVEN THE DEATH OF THE CROSS.
This answer the question, of why will God be killed or be offered if we call Jesus also God. The Bible says He humbled Himself. No God could do like this to save his people. None! So He humbled himself, to be slain. You may say did he actually become a man. Yes, every man is called flesh or has flesh.
Hebrews 5:7 WHO IN THE DAYS OF HIS FLESH, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with STRONG CRYING AND TEARS unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
No God could do this! We see also that He became flesh because He was referred to as the word.
John 1:14 AND THE Word WAS MADE FLESH, AND DWELT AMONG US, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
The thing is, if you receive Him now, you will have the right, the seal, the authority to become the Son of God like Jesus.
John 1:12 BUT AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME:
Receiving Him you will have Eternal life, just as He has the authority to make you a Son of God, He has also been given the authority to give you Eternal life the life of God. And occasionally you’re given what you lack.
John 17:2 AS THOU(THE FATHER) HAST GIVEN HIM(JESUS) POWER OVER ALL FLESH, THAT HE SHOULD GIVE ETERNAL LIFE TO AS MANY AS THOU HAST GIVEN HIM.
HOW TO RECEIVE HIM.
You need your mouth and your heart. Why mouth and heart. This two are means by which you confirm a thing, they agree with your whole being.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
That’s how to receive Him. God bless you.
