Matthew 9:9 KJV “And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.”

When God calls, He call you out of sin into righteousness. It doesn’t matter who and who has condemned you to sin, He comes to rescue you out of sin so you can serve Him in Spirit and in Truth. It’s a total work of transformation. He seeks to completely transform you from who you were to who He designed you to be.

When God calls, “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.,though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” So, He says to you “Come, let us have a discussion together.”

Truth is, God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the Called. When God calls, He seeks to purify you from your sins and give you a new life that will be a blessing to generations to come. Like Matthew, he was regarded as a sinner because he works with the custom office but to Jesus that was insignificant. Matthew had a faith many Pharisees lack. He has a burning desire to follow God. That’s faith.

Jesus said to him, follow me and immediately, he left his post and followed Jesus. How many of us will do that. We prefer our work to walking with Jesus. But when He says follow me, all you need for life is impeded in the word, so be rest assured you will not suffer. The reason why we hesitate in fear is because we are afraid of what the future holds for us in God but I can assure you that when God calls, the call covers all your present and your future.

When God Calls, he changes your past with a call into a future that is bright. You can never fully understand what He is calling you into. He washes you from your sins and cloths you righteousness. He calls you out of the miry clay and sets you on the mountain top. When He calls, do not hesitate to follow. Harden not your heart. People may speak against you and reproach you about your past, just turn a deaf hear and follow He that has called you and keep following. God bless you.
