God is merciful, yet He is terrible.
He is longsufferring, yet He is dangerous.
He is slow to anger, yet a consuming fire.
He forgives, yet He visits the sins of the father even to the fourth generation.
At no time should God’s mercy be taken for granted.
At no time should His longsufferring be counted as grace for sin.
At no time should his slow to anger be perceived as weakness.
And at no time should His forgives become our normal request.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of understanding.
The fear of the Lord births life.
Blessed is He that fears the Lord.
