GOD IS NOT SLACK CONCERNING HIS PROMISES.
We must first note that promises deals with words. A Word that someone says that he will do. One important thing about words is, we need to know or test the integrity of the person that said the word before we can trust on that word. It’s very important.
KNOW THAT GOD’S WORD IS RIGHT.
Psalms 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Psalms 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.(NIV)
When God says a thing to you, it is right, or you find a promise in His word which you receive concerning your life and family, just know that God’s word is right. Even if you find out in His word that what you’re doing is not right, just keep in mind that God’s word is right and then adjust to the word of God.
God is always faithful to His Word. All His works are done in truth. Don’t forget that.
GOD IS NOT A LIAR.
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, WHICH GOD, THAT CANNOT LIE, PROMISED BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN;
God can not lie. The ability to lie is not in Him. The devil is the father of lie, and God and the devil can not father the same thing. Jesus talking to the Pharisees
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and ABODE NOT IN THE TRUTH, BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM. WHEN HE SPEAKETH A LIE, HE SPEAKETH OF HIS OWN: FOR HE IS A LIAR, AND THE FATHER OF IT.
John 8:49 Jesus answered, I HAVE NOT A DEVIL; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
So we see that God can not lie. The devil only has that ability to lie. He loves to shut us down of what God has said concerning us. But we must not believe him. We must stand on the word that God’s word is true and that He does not lie.
GOD IS NOT A MAN
Numbers 23:19 GOD IS NOT A MAN, THAT HE SHOULD LIE; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
You see, man has the ability to lie, but all the works of God are done in truth. Don’t forget that. One of the good things we must discover in God is that, when God speaks concerning a situation in our lives, we must agree to it that it will be done. So, has He said a word to you? Just relax He will do it. When God says a word to you He will make it good. When God says a word to me, that’s an end to it. I just know that it will come to pass and it will endure forever. Kola Mike said “A problem is no longer a problem when the Lord has spoken” In fact the angels are on assignment to do what He says to do.
Psalms 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his ANGELS, that excel in strength, THAT DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, HEARKENING UNTO THE VOICE OF HIS WORD.
Once His speak the word, the angels know that an assignment has come for us to do or fulfil.
God has never lied to any man. I’ll show you something now and am not you’ll be smart to put your name in there.
Psalms 89:35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I WILL NOT LIE UNTO DAVID.
GOD IS FAITHFUL AND HE HASTEN HIS WORD
1 Corinthians 1:9 GOD IS FAITHFUL, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jeremiah 1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: FOR I WILL HASTEN MY WORD TO PERFORM IT.
God is faithful to His Word. He’s very faithful. Don’t cry about that situation, you can begin to search out for His promises now about your health and about what concerns your life and receive it for yourself and your loved ones. God is faithful to His Word.
He said He will hasten His Word to perform. God performs His word. We must know that God will do what He said to do. He will hasten His word to perform for your sake.
HE CAN NOT DENY HIMSELF.
2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF.
Even if we walk in unbelief. He will still go ahead to perform His word because if we deny by not believing Him, He can not deny Himself, which means He can not deny His word. What He says to you, He will perform it.
GOD EXTENDS HIS PROMISES EVEN TO GENERATIONS AFTER
Psalms 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
105:9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
105:10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
105:11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
105:12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
105:13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
105:14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
105:15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
105:16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
105:17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
105:18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
105:19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
105:20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
105:21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
When you read this account further, you will see how God extends His faithfulness to generation, even till today we are still receiving the benefit of this covenant. Maybe I should say this, God’s word is too big to die, even for you to receive it alone, He also extends His faithfulness to your generation. That should make us rejoice! What does that means, it means, God words don’t die, it stays here forever!
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by THE WORD OF GOD, WHICH LIVETH AND ABIDETH FOR EVER.
God’s word abide forever, any word that proceeds from His lips abides forever. It lives on because God and His word are one. God will never die or His word fall to the ground. He’s One with His word.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, THE FATHER, THE WORD, AND THE HOLY GHOST : AND THESE THREE ARE ONE.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
I rejoice in that His word spoken to me will be fulfilled.
2 Peter 3:9 THE LORD IS NOT SLACK CONCERNING HIS PROMISE, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God is not slack concerning is promises over our lives as believers. He’s not slack as some men count slackness. His promises stand in our lives. We just have to stay on it, trust Him and believe that He will bring it to pass. See the testimony of Solomon
2 Chronicles 6:7 Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
6:8 But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:
6:9 Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house; BUT THY SON WHICH SHALL COME FORTH OUT OF THY LOINS, HE SHALL BUILD THE HOUSE FOR MY NAME.
6:10 THE LORD THEREFORE HATH PERFORMED HIS WORD THAT HE HATH SPOKEN: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
God will perform that word that He has said to you and to your family. That word for your ministry, He will do it. Your entrance and deep entrance into the deeper things of God, He will perform it to you.
Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
The word that He has spoken concerning you will come to pass even in your days. God will not prolong it but He will hasten it to perform it and it will also be what your generation will enjoy.
Ezekiel 12:25 For I am the LORD: I WILL SPEAK, AND THE WORD THAT I SHALL SPEAK SHALL COME TO PASS; IT SHALL BE NO MORE PROLONGED: FOR IN YOUR DAYS, O rebellious house, WILL I SAY THE WORD, and WILL PERFORM IT, saith the Lord GOD.
Notice, He still said they are rebellious house, and still says He will do His word. He can not deny Himself. Some times God amaze me. People that are rebellious?! But I understand
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
What we need to do is to pray and trust Him because He will perform all things for us.
Psalms 57:2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that PERFORMETH ALL THINGS FOR ME.
So let’s delight ourselves in Him for He will bring all to pass.
Psalms 119:16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Psalms 119:47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Proverbs 15:8 …THE PRAYER OF THE UPRIGHT IS HIS DELIGHT.
Thank you for reading this piece. I hope you’ve been blessed. Keep walking.
