MAINTAINING THE FREQUENCY OF THE SPIRIT.
Communication is key in every relationship. Responses that we get is very important. A relationship is lively when there is exchange of words. We must understand that we are in a relationship with the Lord because we are one spirit with him.
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
In communication, language is key. Many times there is no free flow when there is an interpreter. It’s more effective when it is a direct communication. The communication therefore must be spiritual communication, whereby we are receiving from Him and He is receiving from us.
When there is break in communication, it affect the relationship we have with Him. That’s why prayer is not just for request alone. Prayer is to build a relationship with the Lord. It’s quite hard to ask things from people you don’t know, or else you beg them for it. Relationship varies with communication and intimacy. That’s why when we pray we don’t beg God, we rather make request because of our relationship with Him. Intimacy with the Lord is not to be seen in other not to reverence Him but rather to push us to hunger to know Him more. Thirst and longing in communication draws heart near.
I want to emphasize a little on the word, relationship varies with communication and intimacy. I remember a time, something happened in a group that I am in, someone made a request of a song, with the word “please sir, send the song to my email please” but Ayo Oliyide said “Send it to my mail Tope” this words are too different words. Even if the person used my name it does not matter, the level of intimacy a times, further our request and trust in the Lord.
We see Paul telling Timothy to continue in the things which he has learnt
2 Timothy 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
We see the Galatians church of not maintaining the frequency of what’s coming to them, and they are always been taken away from the truth.
Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But rather we see what should be our position in communication in the spirit and the truth we know.
Titus 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Titus 3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, THAT THEY BE NOT UNFRUITFUL.
You see, staying on the course of the spirit has fruitfulness in it. We must maintain that frequency and not lower the standard in prayers and in truth. Whatsoever the Lord is bringing to us each season of our walk, we must respond also and also move in that frequency, even if we enter another phase, we shouldn’t forget what we have learnt in that phase and continue in it. There is nothing the Lord is bringing to us that we need to dump. They are meant to do a work in our lives and such is needed to pass on to others. One of the problems we have today, is the ability to open up what we have learnt and worked with for years with a follower. Followers that are faithful. This helps to ensure that what we know is given in the same measure to them and to people that will listen to them.
We must also maintain the frequency of love that we have received from the Lord. We see Jesus telling us to continue in His love.
John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
We must also stay prayerful and stay on course with Lord.
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Always seeking the face of the Lord and trusting on Him. When we break the frequency of prayer and the word, it makes us seem far. There is a way close and constant communication strengthen relationship. It makes it grow and effective.
We must stay on the course of truth. Stay on the course of prayer and the word. Prayer strengthens the word we heard and also help us to move and shift in the spirit. We must ensure sin do not break our relationship with Him. It kills relationship and breaks trust, but if we find ourselves in such, we must find our course back in Him by asking for His mercy. Maintaining a thing therefore, will need us to be discipline and resting on His grace.
1 Samuel 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; FOR BY STRENGTH SHALL NO MAN PREVAIL.
Frequency is needed to pick what the Lord is saying. When it is high, we pick the Lord faster and move as He desire. It must remain high and not get low. Grace will help us. Keep walking in the frequency of the spirit.
