Psalm 138:3 “In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.”
Many often a time, we go through situations and rarely know who to cry to. We try to find solace in our friends, relatives, neighbours and all who come to our minds. We even seek the comfort and support of Governments, while some others blame almost everybody for their situation. Frustration sets in and life seems unbearable. Yet in all of these, there is one we ought to have cried to. He is not our last resort but our first option.
God is all ears and He is ever ready to provide succor to whatever thing we are going through in life. He has sworn by Himself that He will never leave nor forsake us. And this we know, God is not a man neither is He the son of man that He should lie. What He says, He will do and what He does, He says. He will surely hear us when we sincerely and heartily cry to Him. One of the challenges we always have is whether He is willing to come to our aid or not. We trust that He is able, and we believe this, but that He is willing, we find that difficult to believe, therefore we rarely cry to Him for help. The scripture says He cares.
I can very well assure and guarantee you that when you cry to Him, He will answer you. He will not abandon you at your time of challenges. Even when the disciples called on Him in fear and unbelief, He still awoke out of sleep and rebuked the boisterous wind. It doesn’t matter the level of your faith, just call on Him. Like Jesus said, if you have faith as small as mustard seed, you can command a gigantic mountain to shift from its base and to be deepened into the sea, and this will happen. It’s not the size of faith applied that matter, it is your ability to be assured that when you call to God, He will answer you.
Jesus also demonstrated this at the tomb of Lazarus. His prayer reveals how much He trust the Father with His life and prayers. He said, “Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.” John 11:41-42.
Looking through His words, we find a concept that is not just applicable to Jesus but also can be implemented in our lives. You must be assured that;
1. Even before you cry to God in prayers, He has heard you.
2. He hears you always, whether you have seen a result or not.
3. The reason you may need to pray or cry to Him is to further strengthen your faith and the faith of all who are around you.
Once these are fixed in your heart, you will be confident to call of Him in times of trouble as He has also said, “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.” Ps. 91:15. God is expecting you to call on Him and He will definitely answer you.
In trouble times? Yes. All the time, He is willing to answer you. He is our present help. And what will He answer us with? Strength in our soul. Many times, what we need is strength in our inner man to help us pass through the situations we are passing through. If you are alone, you will fail and fall, but if He is with you, you have the whole of heaven supporting, motivating and inspiring you to keep moving.
If there’s anything to remember, they are thus highlighted below;
1. You can Call on God anytime, every time, anywhere and everywhere.
2. When you call, He will answer you.
3. Nothing is too big or too small to call God about. Just Call Him.
4. And when you call, He will strengthen you with Strength in your soul.
5. And finally, let nothing stop you from calling on Him. He is both willing and able to save you.
Have a blessed day. God bless you.
