LIVING THE ABOVE LIFE.
Our state in the new birth is the realm of the above. Our birth is from the above. We must dare to live our lives as someone that is conscious of his state. You know a man by his word and his actions. You can easily discern where such is coming from and from what light he is talking from.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The world born again, is the same word born from above. A man that is stays on flight and the man that is on a low ground will never see the same thing. Their level of sight is different and position. To be from above means to come from the Father. Our life is from the Father.
John the Baptist said we receive only from above.
John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
Jesus said no man comes to Him except the Father draws him near.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
Such a man will have receive ears to hear the heaven say come. He will have received the drawing of the Father to the Son.
When Jesus was praying He said.
John 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men WHICH THOU GAVEST ME OUT OF THE WORLD: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
So you see, we are from above. It is well established that a man will speak according to his position to light.
John 3:31 He that cometh FROM ABOVE is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
I realised that what Jesus is, He has made us to be, He even prayed it.
John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
We know that He’s at the right hand of the Father and He has made us sit there too.
Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened US TOGETHER WITH CHRIST, (by grace ye are saved;)
2:6 And hath raised us up TOGETHER, and MADE US SIT TOGETHER in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
It’s all with Christ, all done together. Since we have been raised with Christ together and our sitting is with the Father through Jesus Christ we must stay to see from where Jesus is. Let’s not be too excited that we are like Him or sited where He is, we must also do He is doing there, with so much consciousness in our hearts.
Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Remember John said that
John 3:31 He that cometh from above is above all: HE THAT IS OF THE EARTH IS EARTHLY, AND SPEAKETH OF THE EARTH: HE THAT COMETH FROM HEAVEN IS ABOVE ALL.
You need to see how the message Bible rendered the Colossians verses
Colossians 3:1-2. So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, AND BE ALERT TO WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND CHRIST—THAT’S WHERE THE ACTION IS. SEE THINGS FROM HIS PERSPECTIVE.
I’m been taken by the word, be alert to what’s going on around Christ-that’s where the action is. So you see we need to be aware and be open to what’s happening around Him. Since we are from the above our eyes must be in the things that are above. Since we are sited with Him, what He does should be what we are doing. Our words and actions must correlate with what He is doing, else we are living by the earth.
We see again how we live by what’s happening above in doing what He is doing.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, WHO IS EVEN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, WHO ALSO MAKETH INTERCESSION FOR US.
Hebrews 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, SEEING HE EVER LIVETH TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR THEM.
Since we are sited with Christ in the above, then we must do what Jesus is doing. Our lives must bear the life that is above. If Jesus is praying for the church we must do the same, we must also pray for the world to come to the Lord. Our height of love in Him is seen by what we do with Him and not just for Him. Even while on earth He prayed for us and they that will come through us, so we too must join Him in what He’s doing.
John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, BUT FOR THEM WHICH THOU HAST GIVEN ME; FOR they are thine.
John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall BELIEVE ON ME THROUGH THEIR WORD;
So you see, we must not only pray for one another but also pray for all men.
1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for ALL MEN ;
2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
2:3 For THIS IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE in the sight of God our Saviour;
2:4 WHO WILL HAVE ALL MEN to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
To live the above life, is to set our gaze on God and have our desires placed rightly on Him and also to do what He is doing.
Let me end on this note. The speech of a man that is above will be different from the speech of a man that is earthly. The prayer of a earthly minded man will be different from the prayer of a heavenly minded man. Desires are best known by what a man sees, or where a man is seeing from. God never got us born again without any responsibility. Keep walking…
