Speaker 5: Pastor Emeka Egwuchukwu
3 John 1:2
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
When your feet are on the path of faith, and you’re walking with God, your life is not ordinary. Whatever comes by faith stays. Faith sanctifies things. Anything you get by the operation of faith is sanctified and it stays.
We will not be tired. We won’t be tired. We will say like David:
“As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.” (Psalm 17:15).
You will enlarge our bowels. Our hearts will be enlarged to take more of You this year. You will make strength available to push forth in the Spirit. We will hear and hear again, and we will hearken. Thank You because we depend on Your Spirit. Blessed be Your name. Amen!
Tongues and Interpretation (1)
“Heavens are opened. The Heavens are opened. The Heavens are opened over you. The Heavens are opened over every soul that will long for, look for heaven, that will look for that which is coming from Heaven. Men will look for the earth, they will run helter skelter wanting to take allocations of the earth. But those who look for Heaven, Heaven will be opened upon them; Heaven will bring forth fresh things, fresh manner. Fresh meal – things borne from heaven. Heaven will bring upon such souls, as they take that which is from Heaven, I will cause many to be Heavenly. I will cause many to be taken up. I willl cause many to lose their earthly identities. They are men from on high from heaven Whom God has approved.
I will also bring to bear, to witness the power of Truth. Even amidst you. I will begin to bear witness with the power of truth even amidst you.”
Tongues and Interpretation (2)
“Yeah, I will break and I will break. I will totally break, and shatter even amidst you that which has taken a form which is lies. That which drives souls away from the path of truth. I will break the strength and configuration, even it’s spirit.
I will cause that men will be established, feet will be established in truth. By power, by my power saith the Lord. Even by the power of truth being made manifest amidst you.
Truth will be exalted. That which is true will be exalted. Even as it is exalted in heaven, so willl it be amidst you. Truth will be exalted amidst you, in you, even in the church.”
When these words come, they come to make us know we are not on our own. The Lord is up to something and we need to yield to Him and make Him partner with us.
Just to talk a little bit to encourage us. You know what I want? “That I will align completely with truth. That everything in me will be consistent with truth – beginning with my heart, and even what I do (ministry) will align”. What i do is to always exalt truth- that which is true and truth, then you will be able to see the nakedness of that which is a lie.
Men will begin to show up to say to flesh “This is not it!” All of a sudden, men’s hearts will begin to understand and come to terms with that which is true, and that is what they will see and seek.
I do not want to be found in the sphere of lies- that which is not consistent with faith. The Father is truth. The Son is truth. The Spirit is truth. Jesus said: “I’m the way, the truth and life (John 14:6)”. The Father is also Truth. If my life is not consistent with Their own life, I am not walking in truth.
I John 3:14-16
“We have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 15. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 16. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”
He didn’t say “lay down your lives for your brothers or for the saints”. You cannot even lay down your life at the milk level, if you’ve not passed from death to life you cannot. He said “for the brethren”. We ought to lay down our lives for the brethren (that’s a higher walk).
Verse 14 – “…Because we love THE brethren…” He’s not talking of the spirit of the believer, He’s talking about the souls. The soul may find it hard to pass from death unto life, but the soul ought to pass from death to life.
When Jesus was talking about being born of the Spirit, Nicodemus asked, “Would I enter into my mother’s womb for the second time?”. He was a teacher in Israel yet he didn’t understand the scriptures.
One problem is that when we read scriptures, we want to understand it with an earthly mind or religious mind, with ‘New creation realities’ or with ‘Milk’. These things discussed here, are not for those not weaned from milk; nor for those still with the breast.
There’s a way Paul is arranged, there’s also a way John is arranged . There are some things in their epistles which are not general.
1 John 3:1-2
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
Does that ‘we’ include you?
Have you migrated? Have you passed from death to life?
1 John 1:1
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life…”
Chapter 1 gives you a blow. Have you held? Have you handled?
John wasn’t making a general statement. Most things there are not general. Look at, “Our fellowship is with the Father and the Son” (1 john 1:3). I’m not there yet. That place isn’t talking about you and I yet. But we will get there.
1 John 1:4
“And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.”
He’s talking from a dimension. It’s easier to understand Paul than to understand John.
3 John 1:1
“The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.”
Consider yourself, can you love in truth?
Apostle John is talking from a dimension. He was talking about ‘the brethren’.
1 John 3:14
“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”
He was giving a definition to a particular set of people.
Paraphrased- “There’s a way that has been made for the soul to be able to pass from death to life”. It’s a way and a journey. It has to be walked through.
John, according to Church history, also pastored the Ephesian church. The Ephesian church is one of the churches he wrote to from the isle of Patmos- that’s also among one of the churches that Paul wrote to.
Paul began to teach faith-that’s what he taught in all the epistles. There’s no way John’s mind wouldn’t have been altered by the book of revelation. There would be a different kind of ministry flowing from him. He wasn’t just a preacher: he was a witness: an olive tree raised to bear witness to the truth.
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
After seeing their faith ‘in the Lord Jesus’, he then started praying for that which will take them higher – “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints…” (Ephesians 1:17-18).
The ‘faith in the Lord’ is not the ‘faith of the Son’. One thing the Lord will help us with is to attain the faith of the Son. It will be understood by many. Some years ago, it was like: “What are these people saying?” But things have chnaged. It won’t just be theory because many will be baptised into it. You’ll just discover that you’ve gone.
It’s a fearful soul that doesn’t want to relinquish control to God that would say: “Will ‘faith of the Son’ put food on my table?”
Why not just leave everything? Let God set you. It’s a place where you won’t know what next. I perceive that many will understand it. It will be made clearer. We will be baptised- souls will be initiated into it.
A burden will yoke you in. It will be made so clear. The ‘like precious faith’, the faith that was once handed to the saints, will be made manifest. God’s intention is that all nations and souls, should obey faith. Paul started with it and ended with it (Rom 16:25-26).
Souls are nations. You’re a nation. God’s intention is that every soul will obey faith. Faith is how we pass from death to life. You won’t overcome death when you’ve not learnt faith.
The faith in the Lord is the milk dimension of faith. It’s fundamental but the Lord is migrating His people. The Ephesians got to a place where they had fulfilled that milk and then Paul prayed so that the ‘faith of the epistle’ will begin- That’s the faith of the operation of God. It’s God who operates it – not you. It is still ‘you’ when you can confess and receive.
You can’t be in charge, because you don’t know tomorrow. You don’t even know the Way. Even if you can forecast the weather and the economy of Nigeria in the next one year, do you know seasons in the Spirit? If you don’t, you’re in danger and you can’t be in control. You need to relinquish control; someone has to take you by the hand and lead you to where you don’t want to go to.
“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Faith is righteousness. The teaching of faith is the teaching of righteousness.
