Theme: The Word of His Power

Day 5 (30th August, 2015)

Ministering: Rev. Kayode Oyegoke
Bible Text: Hebrews 1:1-14, 2:1-3

Hebrews  1:13
“But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?”

He never said that to the angels, all angels are ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to those who’ll inherit salvation. “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” (Heb. 2:1): This is a charge to us if we are interested in receiving this salvation.

Hebrews 1:14
“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”

The salvation here isn’t the new birth; the new birth leads to this. When you’re not born again, you’re not qualified to be heir of this salvation. We thought everything is finished at new birth, but the bible says we ought to still inherit salvation. When your spirit was saved at new birth, it has been saved from going to hell, but being heir of salvation is the bringing you into the finished work of salvation.

Hebrews  2:3
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;”

Everyone that is born again needs to press on to receive this salvation. You can’t hear the spoken word without you having the new birth. After the new birth experience, we have to receive the rest of salvation. It’s a so great salvation that it can’t come on anyone except you’re given the capacity to receive it. One needs to be made alive to hear the Son.

Hebrews 3:7
“Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,”

“Today” began when Jesus was raised from the dead: When Jesus was raised from the dead was when the Father said, “this day (today) have I begotten thee. And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son” – Heb. 1:5. ‘Today’ means a lot, the first definition of today is the day God gave birth to new creation.

Genesis to Malachi is the story of the former creation. When Jesus died and He was raised from the dead, a new creation began. Jesus is a new creation Man; He is the first begotten of that kind. There’s a translation that says, “if anyway be in Christ, he has never existed – 2 Corinth. 5:17. The creation of your spirit is new, you’re newer than the present heaven and earth; they are old.

2 Peter 3:5
“For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water”

Hebrews 1:10-12
“And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11. They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12. And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.”

If any man is in Christ, he doesn’t wax old. God is only managing this present heaven and earth; they are already waxing old, and God will burn it with fire – 2 Peter 3:7. You are not your former you, God has ceased you from the Adamic race.

Hebrews 8:1
“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens”

The ministry of today is the ministry of the spoken word. He is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty, God then made Him His new spokesman. He wasn’t raised to speak to the world, He was raised to speak to the church – new creation. Jesus was honoured by the Father to speak to us; it’s an honour to hear Jesus, it’s not everyone that is privileged to hear Him. Your destiny is in the mouth of Him who is at the right hand side. Not hearing Him means we are nothing.

Hebrews 4:14
“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”

The church has a great high priest, and travelling heavens wasn’t difficult for Him; He travelled and occupied the highest position. He has such a tremendous power and moved for a higher tabernacle not made with hands. God made Him a priest for our sake. He’s touched by our weakness. Do you know that He’s at the throne, and because of Him, your feelings and your weaknesses are being registered at the throne? Can you see Jesus feeling your pain and infirmities?

Hebrews 5:1-4
“For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: 2. Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. 3. And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. 4. And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.”

No man can take honour like this. A priestly office is an honourable office, you don’t carry or call yourself a priest; Jesus waited in humility. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8), but I want us to see ‘His TODAY OPERATION’. “Today have I begotten thee” means ‘today have I made thee a priest, honour has then come to you’. Such are the words coming to us today.

Hebrews 5:6
“As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”

When you say today have I begotten thee, it’s the same as saying thou art a priest. It’ll take a priest to make atonement for sin. Don’t try neglecting salvation, to be blessed is to be saved – Heb. 2:2.

Numbers 6:22-23
“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23. Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,”

The Lord said to Jesus, “I want You to bless My people who are raised from the dead”. The church ought to be higher than prosperity or material sermons, we should come to church for the blessing of salvation.

The sons of God are very key to the high priest, they are to be priest under a high priest, just like Aaron and his sons. To bless Israel is to speak to them, and you don’t have right unless God anoints you and clothe you with salvation – “And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty” (Exo. 28:2).

For no man takes this honour unto himself, it is until God says, “come and put honour upon My people”. Highest blessings doesn’t come by hand, it is by the mouth. When God wanted Moses to bless the children of Israel with water to drink in another higher way, God told Moses to speak to the rock, but Moses hit the rock instead, and water still came out. So, even when you see signs and wonders, that doesn’t mean it’s being done correctly.

When priests are saved, the people will be saved. The reason why the church isn’t saved is because priests are yet to come out. We need people who can say unto the church, “the Lord bless you and keep you” – Num. 6:24. Where Satan eats many people and devour them, God will keep you as a result of the blessing pronounced by the high priest. Don’t be afraid of the destruction at noon day, the Lord will keep you. The blessing am talking about is the blessing that has ability to keep you. For you to be kept, it’ll be by the Power of God.

Numbers 6:25-27
“The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26. The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. 27. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.”

We are Israel indeed. The first Israel nation was a type and shadow of the new Israel. Aaron couldn’t ascend into the heavens, it took another priest to pass the heavens, and be raised up to get to the throne of the Majesty on high.

Hebrews 8:1-2
“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2. A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.”

We have a grater advantage than the Jewish nation, their priest wasn’t stronger than death. Our priest is higher, and He is able to intercede for us. He knew you before you were born, He’s a dangerous priest. To Him, all things are naked; He saw you when you were invisible, and He knew how you were formed.

Imagine a priest in the throne of God! In the Old Testament, the priest stand to minister, but our Priest is a Priest at rest. He is a minister of the sanctuary; this is a very sacred word – Jesus wants the sanctuary to be the most holy place. In the New Testament, the tabernacle must be people. The candlesticks, the incense and the shewbread are all to be in men.

In the sanctuary or Holy place, they don’t use the light of the moon; it means that they are moving into a greater light. Sanctuary is the holy place, it begins the holiness. The day God gives you the grace of using the light of the holy place, to a natural man you are foolish, but you’re actually holy by using the light of the seven golden candlesticks. Jesus is the minister to the sons who are sanctuary themselves.

He ministers by saying things to us. Jesus will teach you how to cease from being natural. “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man come to the most holy place (the Father) but by Me” – John 14:6. What I am teaching us is the ministry of today of Jesus Christ. Jesus will be at the right hand until everything about today is finished, then, he’ll move into another day to come.

It’s not by all night prayers, Jesus needs to teach you how to walk and come to Him. We have remained in a spot, but Jesus is asking, “how many are moving and migrating to the Father?”. Jesus is waiting for comers. My desire is to see churches walking; if we don’t walk into the Father, darkness will become stronger. We will walk, and we will say darkness is pass already. Our victory is in our legs – let us walk in the spirit.

The reason God established churches is for to walk contrary to the prince of the power of the air, and if people walk contrary to the prince of the power of the air, he will come down. While the children of Israel walked, the sea opened. The more walk of the Spirit you have, the more power you have. Can you tell me what overcame Jericho? They only walked! No bow, no arrow, and they didn’t have strategy. Their enemies laughed at their foolishness of just walking round Jericho, but the weapon of their warfare was not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down strong holds – 2 Corinth. 10:4.

As your walk is increased, God is making your gospel shoe to shine. The more you walk, the more darkness becomes weak. Satan fears your leg. The children of Israel walked round Jericho for 6 days, and on the 7th day, God said, “increase your leg after one shout”. The 7 times walking is related to the 7 candlesticks which is in the Holy place. God needs to raise you up and make you entities of the tabernacle.

Our high priest is the king of the holy of holies, He is the bright and morning star, and this the vessel speaking to us. God asked Job when he was complaining, “were you there when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:7). Morning stars are cherubs, and one of them is enough for London.

Psalms  34:7
” The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”

One of them can manage kingdoms, but there’s someone who is a bright and a morning star! He dwells in the morning, He is fresh. Satan doesn’t want you to attain this, He will tell you not to be spiritual. I know most of us here know how to talk, but I hope thy aren’t satanic language. Be ruthless in the spirit, don’t joke with the adversary; he will give you excuse not to be glorified.

Hebrews 2:9-10
“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”

You can’t separate glory and salvation. He was made perfect through sufferings so that He can help us to be saved to the uttermost. The suffering He had was a training ground for Him. When sons are being glorified, they will be tempted. I’m talking of temptations of sons, and this temptation is in the sanctuary. Satan will tempt, but Jesus is there to succour us; He wants to bring us to glory. We can arrive at a spot where it can never go bad – Jesus can save us to that spot where Satan doesn’t touch you anymore. Jesus is able to train men (sons) that will be glorified.

Hebrews 5:7-9
“Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8. Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him”.

“Eternal salvation” means Jesus will save us eternally. The prayer wasn’t a physical audible voice that you hear Him pray with. I perceive God is raising many many men, things are changing; we are going to see many men who will hear Jesus talk from the throne, and they will deliver the ministry of the right hand side to the churches.

Anyone who comes to God does it by faith. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb. 11:6). Where are you moving towards? If your ambition is on this earth, you are not coming to God. Look at Jesus, He never wanted anything else but to become the image of God.

Hebrews  7:24-25
“But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

The intercession of Jesus is to make you move towards the end of faith – the salvation of the soul.

**Holy Communion**

This is called the cup of blessing, it’s the body that’s blessed. Jesus has given us the right of way to observe this – discerning the Lord’s body. With honour and reverence, we partake of this.

1 Corinthians  11:24-25
“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”

This means to be willing to agree and be positioned with the Lord, and to follow and be led by Him. “… This are they which followeth the lamb withersoever he goeth…” (Rev. 14:4).

I will lead you into Myself, for in Me is salvation, I am the captain of it. I’ll lead, and I’m leading My children. There’s a season upon your nation, but as many as will follow Me, I’ll lead them and they shall be safe. When men cry and mourn, you’ll laugh and be joyful. These are the days of restoration, I’ll visit My children whose hearts are hungry. I’ll separate them unto Myself, and the evil one touch them not. I have to lead you, without being led, there won’t be preservation. Many will cry and shed tears, many will gnash their teeth for they didn’t do what they ought to do. I’ll do wonders.

*Message continues*

We thank You, Jesus you’re here. We receive the cup with joy and reverence. We will drink the blood, for we love Your life. Thank You our Father.
I pray for an intimacy, that your fellowship with the Father will be strengthened. I pray that as you leave here and you go back home, you will go with the presence of God. You are going back home with His name, you’re going back home preserved. I pray for everyone who has issues, I pray for answers upon your life. Father, I pray that weaknesses be turned into strength. I call you from your place of weakness that you’ll rise. You’re separated from darkness. I pray that your heart will be so blessed with light and obedience, and that your bodies be healed. Bones be strengthened.

The blessing of the cup and bread is yours tonight, you’ll come under His wings. He’ll bring you into the shadow of the almighty (Amen!).
