Believers’ Convention 2015

DAY  3

Speaker 1: Pastor Thompson Ehima

1 John 5:18- 21:

“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”

The sin we should keep ourselves from is idols; Gentile nations follow after idols. This is the sin we ought to keep ourselves from, it is what makes us overcomers. The one the wicked one can not touch is someone who is not touching the unclean. What the evil one touches leads to corruption. The evil one cannot touch the anointed One due to the  Holy unction.

2 Corinthians 6:17

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

As long as I am touching that which is unclean, the wicked one will touch me. That touch of the wicked one leads to corruption.

He that cannot be touched is the anointed ones; it is the anointing within that teaches them not to touch the unclean thing. The oil that is amidst them makes them to be untouchable for other nations, that is why Balaam could not place a curse upon the people of Israel (Gen. 22). Satan possessed Balam in order to corrupt the people. He who is born of God sinneth not, and the wicked one toucheth him not. We must separate ourselves from the unclean for the evil one not to touch us. The idols are the unclean things.

Agreement with darkness is consent; my consent is my agreement with this world, and it is about the fashion of this world. The wicked one has crafted a fashion in the world, and anyone that touches that fashion is being touched by the wicked one. What the Holy unction teaches is the truth, and the truth is in Jesus; truth is the testimony of Jesus. The testimony of Jesus is the truth. Truth is placed in the inward parts, not in the head; this is so that the soul could break allegiance with the wicked one. When we talk about overcoming the dragon, we are not talking about fasting and praying, the wisdom of overcoming is to be separated from the world.

2 Corinthians 7:1
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God”.

For us to be able to discern false holiness, we need to be separated. In Rev. 12:17, the disciples are those that keep the testimony; you cannot be a disciple until you continue in the Son. The essence of the Holy unction is for us to be able to discern the operation of the wicked one. One thing the Lord will be doing to us in this meeting is to cause the anointing within us to burn so that we can escape the touch and hurt of the wicked one.
