Ministering: Reverend Busuyi Olabode
“Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God…”
The present order, which is the order of a created world, will be done away with. The gospel is the factor of separation designed to take men out of the present order. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16). Man must be saved, and man will be saved.
The testimony of Jesus is the instrument of this salvation.God’s word is called the Word of God in heaven but is called the testimony here on earth. The word of God is called the testimony because it is that which witnesses God on the earth. It is the will of God that the earth functions as a representation of heaven.
There is need for clarity in what God is talking about. To God, two world exists: the spiritual and the natural. There are things natural and things spiritual and things natural can either be visible or invisible. Most of the things we interact with on the earth are the visible sides of the natural.
Most of the things seen in the scriptures were seen after the fall of man. Adam was natural, not spiritual: he was a prophet, yet natural. The gospel of God had to be preached to Adam- a reason why God always had to come down to Eden. Adam’s access to heaven, by reason of his nature, was limited.
The first man was made a living soul. There are dominions outside God which He had permitted for a long time, but the gospel makes all these hidden.Anything born of the flesh is flesh. The gospel is designed to separate man from the realm of the natural to the realm of the divine.
Our experiences and relationships with God are based on the created world, but before creation was, the Word has been. Creation created a barrier, yet, it is not strong enough to abort God’s original intention which was before creation. This present creation is what is being used against us. We belong to another order of Iife which is the order of the life of God.
We are not created; we are born of God, and whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world (1 John 5:4). Jesus told Nicodemus he must be born again (John 3:3-5). Jesus told him, in other words, that it was time for the birthing of sons not just for miracles.
Jesus came to unveil the realm of the invisible. God has raised a new standard of righteousness in the gospel. Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again, because all that had happened in the past were all under flesh.
God once anointed flesh. The jews and their prophets, for instance, were not born of the Spirit yet they were raised and anointed by God. There are various anointings in the Spirit, but the earth will shift for the divine to become manifested. The third day is a time of perfection, to initiate God’s plan which can only be done by the Spirit.
“18. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”
The part the enemy has taken is that which is against God, and it is vain imagination. The enemy wants God to show Himself in the created order, and not as the Creator. He has succeeded in making man believe that if God does show Himself in the created order, then He is not God.
Elisha was dead, yet his bones raised the dead. This power was not the power of resurrection, yet it raised the dead. Sometimes, what we call vanity are just works of the flesh. Vanity has a greater pull on souls. For instance, the things that constitute vanity are images, dominion of kingdoms and things nations gather and glory about.
There is a present darkness on the earth that the devil is using against God. The devil goes after children of light because he sees them as threats to his reign. The enemy has become the lord of the present order, though it was initially given to Adam. The problem we have are our legitimate responsibilities: things we cannot look away from. They are the things that the enemy has used to constitute distractions for us.
The Jews were in a former righteousness, but when God brought His in, all other righteousnesses became unrighteousness. All nations have their own righteousness. Some have come to a realm of knowing God. God knew that when He would show Himself to those nations, they would see Him as a creature, not the Creator. At some point in your life, you feel you were getting spoilt- before you ask the Lord for things, He’s already done them, but there were times He did not so respond.
God has to download Himself on the earth as the way, the truth and the life. The gospel looks weak and simple, yet it is the power of God unto salvation- unto all that believe. Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Rom. 1:16)
“21. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22. Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…”
God is manifesting His righteousness, not our own righteousness. God’s righteousnesses became Christ’s righteousnesses. The Gospel is the righteousness of God being declared. Jesus is the standard and the new building.
The faith of God was what raised Christ from the dead. It is right for God to raise His Son because He committed Himself to the Father.
The natural must stop for the spiritual to take over. Jesus’ death is the way to allow the spiritual to take over. The faith of God became the faith of the Son. Jesus authored this faith (the faith of God) through resurrection. The devil was ignorant; if he had known, he would not have crucified the Lord of glory. He thought that death was the end, but it actually opened the door of perfection for Christ.
“The Word of God is alive, quick, and sharper than any two-edged sword” (Heb. 4:12). God’s Word being quick is not used in terms of speed; it rather speaks of it being alive.
The strength of the dragon is this present world, which is what he uses against us. That is why any ministry done in the name of the Lord within the context defined by the world cannot affect him. Satan framed this world for his own longevity; it is his sustaining power because he built it to sustain himself.
In the days to come, we will see God, know Him, and we would not hold Him in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18). Holding Him in unrighteousness means adding Him to the different contexts of righteousness that we have which are not defined by Him.
Not every revival that has happened on the earth really hurt the devil. He laughed most of them off, and quenched them without much fuss. What threatens the enemy is the Blood. The smell of the Blood reminds him that his time is short. Without the help of the grace of God, we cannot do much on our own.
Apostleship is associated with the obedience of the faith (Rom. 1:5 and 16:26). Anyone who claims to be an apostle without obedience to this faith is a false apostle. Apostles are not raised the way many of us are. For instance, the apostles said, “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20). Some of us, on the contrary, hear before we see (Romans 10:17). It is mercy for us to be under this atmosphere to hear His word. The faith of Jesus has become our faith; it is no more just the faith of the Son of God (1 John 5:4). This faith (the faith of the Son of God) raised the Son of God; it will raise us too.
