Junior had complained of so many things latest of which was that he finds it hard to concentrate in classes and so, his performance in school is beginning to show for it. When asked why, he said it was because his parents were always in constant disagreements to the discomfort of their children. They quarrel over anything and everything, turning the house into a hot battle zone not suitable for proper comfort and peace of mind.

Mr. Tony, the proprietor of the Junior’s school was stunned to hear that but was not surprised. His parents were also like that. They had to be separated when he was just nine and that had n adverse effect on him growing up. He grew up with his mum who didn’t have all the money to cater for him and his younger brother, and they couldn’t meet up with school work. But by Tony’s determination, he ensured that he gave up everything else to concentrate in school so as to become successful in life.

Like Junior, many of us complain of many things in life and we almost blame God for our failures and disappointments in life. Topmost of them is our seeming inability to live a sinfree/sinless life. We most times push the responsibility away from ourselves unto other things. At times, we say the society made us do it, other times, we push the blame to the devil. Let me show you this scripture;

Hebrews 2:17-18
Wherefore in all things it behoved (became necessary for) him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a MERCIFUL and FAITHFUL high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath SUFFERED BEING TEMTED, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Two qualities of Jesus Christ was mentioned. He needed to become like us, trapped in human flesh so that He can feel all the things we fell too. He by the this reason became a merciful high priest so he can show us mercy in times of need and he also became a faithful high priest so He can teach us to be Faithful in spite of all we may be passing through. His mercy endure forever, He will show us mercy, but also He wants to teach us how to be faithful. Many like to ask for mercy without preparing to learn faithfulness. Like Jesus who was tempted on every aspects of life, we ought to be faithful to God and to man.

Let Christ be our consolation in all that we go through. Don’t compromise, hold on to eternal values. Be faithful so yo can keep attracting His mercy. God bless you. Have a blessed day.
