Pastor Ayo leading prayers:

(Prayer of thanksgiving)

Thank you saviour of our soul(2x). You are saving us to the uttermost. You are making us whole.

Thank you saviour of our souls. Sometimes, we may be going through some things, but even in that I still want us to thank God.

I want us to pray concerning the meeting this morning: That the Lord will have mercy upon us; that we will find entrance this morning. That we will find mercy into His counsel, His will and into His thoughts this morning.

The stability of any man’s walk is in the abundance of his entrance. Let’s pray that there will be entrance this morning;that the Lord will grant everyone an open door into His things.

There are seasons, but there are seasons that have sub-seasons. I perceive we are in a season that would lead into sub-seasons.

A lot of us are going through things. Let’s pray that all things will work out for our good.Every discouragement, trials, tribulations, sorrow; Lord, let everything work out for our  good for the purpose of salvation.

Satan has different ways of discouraging us. He wants to take hunger away from us.

Sometimes, I’ve been in such situations where I will not just be hungry. This is the work of the enemy. Like some wild animals will lie in wait for their prey, the enemy does the same so that he will stop hunger. I want us to pray that everything that the enemy has done to quench hunger; that the Lord in His mercy will dislodge it.

Pastor Clever leading prayers:

Lord, bless us with hunger; with thirst. Cause us to come into your passion. Kindle our passion and kindle our hunger.
Jesus!Jesus!Jesus! Help us Lord.

David said something: “Your word have I hid in my heart that I will not sin against you” (Psalms 119:11).

What we are listening to here is to make us live. The Lord is making us live His Testimony,  that’s why He is making it known to us.

The bible talks about “high things that exalt themselves above the knowledge of God” (2 Corin. 10:5). They have to be taken captive so that we can come into the true identity of God. These things are the things that bring doubt. Let’s pray for mercy.

We have high things in us. The bible calls them strongholds (2 Corin. 10:4). Let’s pray that the Lord will begin to bring them down. The pseudo hunger that makes us feel spiritual – the Lord will bring them down and cause us to come into His true identity.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ…”

What are these weapons supposed to do? This is what we see in the next verse; the weapons are supposed to handle things in our hearts.

The Lord is knocking; calling anyone that will let Him in. The people of Israel went to the high places to worship idols. If you don’t trust God to bring down the former thoughts, imaginations and strongholds, we will struggle.

These are the things that make us go somewhere else to worship; these thoughts at groove idols that inhabit spirits.

Let’s cry out to the Lord for mercy. We desire to love You Lord and to fellowship with You. Help us to bring down falsehoods and false-thoughts that hinder You.

Sometimes we hear the word and at that moment we say we will go all the way and do anything for the Lord, but when we leave the place of hearing the word, the zeal we said we have dwindles.

Let’s trust the Lord that we will find so much grace to deal with all these things – the things that call for our attention to come over them. It may be your job, unbelief, or whatever it is; Lord, help us to throw away our ideologies that we may give all to you.

That the Lord will help us come over all the thoughts of hell and death. These thoughts know how to steal hunger from us. Let’s pray that we will receive grace. Lord, today we ask for grace and mercy – Grace for us to be transformed.Grace to turn to you.

Words of exhortation:  Pastor Ayo.

I just realised that the same energy that we channel to anger is the same energy we also put in to aquire life. What satan does is to make sure we channel our energies towards other things so that we loose life.

We are in the evil day, and  darkness is encroaching, but we are hearing the gospel which is the power of God – which is in faith and love.

Anyone that will overcome the evil day has to have strength. The properties of God are in faith and love; which is the gospel.

So many of us came from different places; some of us from far places. Why we came is so that we will receive strength even in this evil day.

I want us to pray and ask the Lord that our thoughts will be captured with faith and love;  That every high thing that has been built against faith and love will be removed.

If boko-haram can go now and take over the seat in Abuja, this means that they have taken control and they have power to do whatever they want.

Likewise to our souls, our headquarters is our minds and hearts. If he can get it, he has gotten us. It is there we  receive strength against this evil day. Even the capacity of our brain is to capture God.Everything we have are supposed to be used to capture God.

Ministering: Pastor Ken

The theme for this year’s Convention is: “The Word of God: The testimony of Jesus”.
What does this tell us? God wants to truly give us access.

So we can look back at the demands of God on us ‘to love’ were used to prepare us for what He’s going to give us; to give us a capacity that can get into the next level of God’s allocation.

God won’t speak so much and make demands for nothing. He told Moses to tell the people to prepare to meet with Him on Mount Sinai. We are preparing and we will receive Him. The theme puts it very clear that God is coming. The processes of God are to deliver his life to us.

Faith is a normal part of you as a Christian, but it varies. How much you learn is another question; Did your faith take you to the journey of the faith life in God – where you live like God? There were some people that had dealings of faith and love in time past eventhough they didn’t hear all that we’ve been hearing today, but what they heard became a part of them on this earth and they lived it out.

What does God want to achieve or do with our hearts? Its all an issue of faith and love. I’m trusting God that we’ll be able to look at faith and love. We’ll also be able to look at how the capacity to see clearly and to receive all this will bring us into God’s fullness.

There’s so much about ‘knowing’ in the book of John.

1John 2:1-14 (Pls Check)

Emphasis – Verse 3-6:
“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. [6] He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked”.

If you see the interplay of knowledge in this scripture, one reality is: “Hereby we know that we know Him”. The journey of knowing God comes to us as initial belief. It’s a level of basic knowledge that you believe.

It’s  not just the one where you give your life to Christ. I’m talking of ‘as our walk progresses and you take steps’. It’s not just an understanding, or revelation, or a faith you’ve laid hold on; it has become a knowledge that our hearts have held (what our heart has fellowshiped with).

There’s an initial knowledge that births life. As we engage it, we come to the point of knowing.

Revelational knowledge also comes, but what distinguishes revelation knowledge is the energy with which it comes to you. It stirs you up and you’re able to respond to it in faith so it can sit. There, the activity of God has started which is also meant to culminate in knowledge.

Knowledge is for your soul to have managed an experience and you know it. According to 1 john 1:1: “That which we’ve seen” is knowledge; “We look upon” is still knowledge; “We handle” is still knowledge, but God is strengthening your ability in knowledge so that it wont just be a knowledge that we’ll sleep into, but that which causes you to find your root in God; to be one who can abide.

The Bible says: “If you don’t love, you don’t know God” (1 john 4:8). What does the bible mean by that? There is no knowing if we can’t love.

1 John 4:7-8
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”.

God needs to deflate our stand of knowledge. Sometimes, the problem is that we have a stand of knowledge that can’t make us step into another. When we come to God and that knowledge becomes a basis for which we define the parameters of God, it shuts us out of the true koinonia (fellowship) which God is really calling us into.

This is what i mean by the term knowledge in the realm of knowing God – Knowledge is fellowship. We won’t get into that realm of knowledge overnight. It demands some consistency. There’ll keep being that interplay of the dealings of God which are faith and love.

(Using millitary illustration)
I learnt that the millitary takes the people through very severe exercises, and they get to a level where they are fit. Then they bring them under more advanced conditions.

My younger brother is in the military so he told me a little story. He said they can be given a bag of 50kg weight and you’re supposed to run with it, beat the time and still get to your destination.

(Message Continues)
That tells me that the process of acquiring divine nature is also rigorous. Sometimes, God deals with you and you feel an energy of faith; that Faith gives you a thrust into the life of God.

After a while that you’ve heard revelational knowledge and with such great energy, then suddenly, God brings this instruction: “Love your brother”. You’ll then see that the strength of such a person who felt so spiritual (because of revelational knowledge) just now is no longer there. So the issue of love is more than just having revelational knowledge.
That divine orchestration of love is an accompaniment of faith so we can come into knowledge ( true Knowing). We can’t say we know God because we have revelation knowledge alone. For those guys in the military, That place of carrying that weight physically gives them capacity.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (Pls check)

Emphasis – Verse 16-17:
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love…”

The place of faith is a place of accessing divine energy for living. It’s like the place of making the thrust into God.

The realm where God operates is an energy level. Where Christ is, is a certain realm of energy. It can’t come into your heart as you desire it. Light first has to come; you have to gain understanding. That light strengthens you.

Those resources come with faith. The process of faith should generate people who would develop the strength capacities in God. In the first stage of faith (where God teaches you to trust Him for miracles, finances etc), it opens us to unlock the abilities of God. It gives a certain ability to your soul. When faith is seated, faith becomes like a life.

As you journey in faith you can acquire more energies of faith. Every level of faith has a commensurate level of righteousness you can take (Rom. 1:17).  God promotes you by bringing righteousness to you so you can achieve His strength. Accessing the thrust of that energy into God comes by faith.

The first energy comes to meet our needs. The most profound stage is where you can acquire the energy to house God. To house God isn’t just because you can put scriptures together. That process of engaging faith births life.

A child not up to a year has life; I as an adult also have life. What defines the life between us? For me, There’s more strength, more experience, a stronger level of emotional, physical and experiential demands.

It is critical for us to understand the demands of faith that God requires of us. So when He says: ‘The just shall live by faith’ (Rom. 1:17), it means you can come into increasing dispositions of divine energy.

When faith comes, the true workings will train our hearts even in the place of keeping commandments. It’s not just an attitude of ‘your will’ but your faith has received the word of God; in that place of faith, they release energy to you so you can keep commandments.

Our journey of faith needs to continue to rise into the very depth of the Father. We should not relent. Faith is like the right hand – it has a lot of energy, strength and resourcefulness.

If we follow this faith, it will increase our acquiring of that thrust into God. Love is also a  requirement that makes sure that  the faith energy settles.

When God gives you might, He’s saying: that resources of might you have should be used to die to self or love your brother; God also emphasizes death. Loving the Father is tantamount to death; you can’t access the Father when you’re alive by yourself.

God is setting a stage to come into greater thrust of faith energies into the life in Jesus; God is setting a stage for us to come into greater thrust of life in Jesus. This stems out from the riches of His glory.

Ephesians 3:16 KJV
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man…”

We shouldn’t compare our faith with others. You are supposed to measure yourself against a reservoir of faith which is the riches of His glory. God raised Jesus and decked Him with glory so that your faith will be in Him.

1 Peter 1:21
“Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”

We have been called to obtain glory. How? – Through the learning of the faith life.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
“But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Even when walking in love, it won’t be an aim in itself. Walking in love is a provision to access more of God’s life. Some people can do those things and generate a walk; a testimony that they can suffer long, but the content of life might not be so much yet. We must not grow weary.

Our true promise is eternal life. That you have that level of dealings and success doesn’t assure that you have truly come into that promise fully. I am saying that so we don’t get jettison and weary.

The love demand is supposed to go hand in hand with knowledge. Now we can really know that the love walk is still the content of that life.  The essence of the dealings of faith and love is so that we can learn both and thereby gain more momentum into knowledge (knowing God).

We need to gain momentum to get knowledge. If you take a 50kg keg and a chair, and throw them to the wall, they won’t have the same effect. The Momentum is that force of impact.

We need to keep acquiring the energies of God so we can acquire the true momentum as we journey into the Father. We won’t journey into the Father at the same pace despite the revelations we are hearing.

We can’t even truly love like God at once. The Dealings of faith and love have to accompany that process because you need to lose your life.

One thing I see also (in the book of Revelation) is ‘overcoming’. Overcoming is acquiring that momentum to overcome satan. At that level, you’re at an energy level to function with the provision of glory allocated because of Jesus. We are supposed to journey from one season to another.

2 Peter 1:3-9 (Pls Check)

Emphasis – Verse 3:
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue…”

Verse 5-6:
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge. 6.And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience…”

Verse 8-9
“For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”

The expectation of knowledge is that we will come to fruitfulness; not because we can explain the fruitfulness.

“…He that lacketh these things is blind…” (2 Pet. 1:9).

God has helped us through a journey of faith but it is so that He can be guaranteed to find us fruitful in the place of knowledge; so He can administer entrance.

If we truly submit to disciplines of the Spirit in the place of faith and love, we’ll be able to access entrance abundantly into the everlasting kingdom.

We’ve seen so much emphasis of faith and love. God is saying the theme of the convention is “The Word of God: the Testimony of Jesus”. He is waiting that the dealings He is taking us through in these past few months will give us an entrance into an allocation of His life.

All the demands of God on us are to watch our fruitfulness before He can open up another entrance. We need to put our hearts right and get to where we deal with our relationships with knowledge; that we’ll come to a knowledge that is fruitful.

God won’t commit the next allocation of His portion to a people whom He’s not sure of.

God is training and ensuring that our learning of Himself is guaranteed. Love brings us to the that place of abiding – where the resources of God are not leaked out.

The book of  first John addresses what can leak love – the issues of loving our brother.

As a people, we’ve come to a place where God deals with us. Sometimes, we come to a point where we ask God to take the rest of our lives and kill us instead, why? We just keep wandering when this love dealings will end.

One sister said she was trying to seek counsel on an issue and all she was told was for her to ‘die, die and die’ and she wondered if the dying won’t finish.

A people that will not fail is arising. Only God can identify that which will not fail. He’s the only wise God. All He has done through the various seasons of our life are systematically arranged to bring us to a more intense engagement of our lives with Him.

I said something about keeping commandments. One thing that will characterize our knowing God is a stature that can retain Him – not as in retaining as a child, but such that the energies of God have been given to you to engage God’s life.

You keep commandments because you’ve acquired a nature that keep those commandments. God is taking us to the point where we keep.

The energy has to go through dealings. To be a keeper is to be a man who has undergone exchange . You can only keep their things by their nature; It becomes your nature to hold their things when you change from your own nature to theirs (thats the exchange).

They are looking for people who can keep their life; who understand their life and can sustain it. Such people won’t fail. They go into further allocations of life.

His kingdom is the reigning of His life; the authority of His life is access. We are approaching a dispensation of authority of eternal life; that true evidence of God’s purposes and what God stands for will be seen.

We are coming to where the testimony will be handed to us. I can’t say the testimony is with you because you’ve done so and so. They know how they give scores.

I’m encouraging us that our dealings are not for fun; they are for the purchasing of our souls. What guarantees this resource is great glory.

We’re coming to the true overcoming life.

1 John 5:12-13

Verse 12:
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”

Verse 13:
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

As long as you have faith, you have life. God has brought us to the place where we can access life in abundance.

We were told that “if you believe in the Son, you’ll HAVE LIFE” (1 John 5:12). Then another place says “You will KNOW that you HAVE LIFE” (1 John 5:13).

Our journey of faith is a belief on the name of the Son of God (1 John 5:13), and because God wants to take us to the finish line; which is handling life, we need to keep learning life.

God is looking for a people who can close this age, because they’ve learnt the faith life and have gained the energies of God.

“A people will arise who have journeyed by faith and love and God will find a people He will use to establish His will. They will walk according to His will all the time. God will use those people to fetch divine life.”

There’s a level you can ask for life now. The people God is raising would be a people of restorers of broken bridges.

Isaiah 58:12
“And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in”.

They will operate the life that can sustain God’s energies.

There’s great benefit. let’s keep our eyes on the finish and keep pressing because we’ve been called to obtain the glory.

Now, God is raising a people who will have that courage. The happenings in our lives are to birth a people who will carry out the purpose of God.

God has given us the privilege to come back to see what He is saying and not abort it. It’s a journey where God doesn’t fail: it’s a journey of journey.

When we have access to that life, we have entrance into the kingdom. God will entrust us with the capacity to keep His commandments. Our journey into God will end us in Him.

Let’s ask God to help us. Amen!
