Speaker 7: Reverend Helen Oyegoke
I thank God for what God is doing here. The ability to connect to what God is doing is what is happening here, and I am so happy that everyone can pick the thoughts of God without having met before the meeting. I know we are all waiting to hear news about the London retreat. God did us good! There was utterance, conviction, and we were covered with a cloud for 3 days. There was a Pastor that comes with his members and leaves Saturday evening because of church, but he was still around Saturday evening and I asked him: “Pastor ain’t you leaving?” He said “No o! No church tomorrow; Church was cancelled because we want to be here”.
We had more people than we thought; we met a very ancient Pastor who said he wouldn’t mind staying if he can get somewhere to stay. He asked if it was a network and what it takes to join; he said he had been preaching the gospel for years, but he had never heard it preached like this. God was awesome! We thank God! The gospel is spreading and entering into ministries.
We can see peace entering into nations. One sister told me that she has peace and that she has no issues again about where people are from; she even mentioned that she would take her child from private to a public school. People are beginning to see the importance of gaining life and loosing this world, all we need is for God to help us with faithfulness and focus. Lives have changed and lives are still changing; nothing can stop what God has spoken. God spoke and He assured us that the work is His work; He said from London, it will go to south Africa and then Asia (Amen!).
The essence is for this word to enter into ministries and colonise the world. Let’s keep praying for Reverend Kayode that God would guard his heart and help him with focus.
There are commandments that are coming at this time and I feel I should share with us. Commandments come in different levels because of our various levels. Like Pastor Thompson said earlier, don’t just say this is for mummy Helen; one day, you will get there and remember this and know what to do. One day, after a journey, a song came into my spirit; it came from my spirit and the song goes thus:
Many waters cannot quench it;
This kind of love,
This kind of love.
Neither can floods drown it;
This kind of love
Jesus kind of love;
A new kind of Love.
He will bring us here – to His kind of Love; this is His invitation. I kept seeing the Father as an embodiment of love; so gentle, and the Lord kept calling me there.
“Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word”.
We have learnt so much about angels. These angels in the verse above are the Cherubims of glory found in the holiest of all; they are called “Angels”. Seraphims are found in the Holy place; they are the “hosts of angels” that do His pleasure (Psalm 103:21). By the grace of God, we have done some pleasures and as a result, we have journeyed.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God: As you do Christ, you are closing the gap and you come to the place of pleasure because you have journeyed by faith. The commandment of coming to God is by Himself; you can’t know God until He brings you to a tight corner and tells you who He is. I began to see the Father and I saw Him as an embodiment of love. He did this with all gentleness; may we see the just One.
“Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen”
When you see the just One, you will live; anybody that will abide in Him must see His commandments and this commandment is of the beginning – this is where forces of death are defeated. He is love, He is light and He is life; for you to lay hold on eternal life, you have to lay hold of the love of the Father.
I am not preaching another sermon; if you get this, you will live. You want to live? Race into it. Priests are raised to detonate death and He has raised one for us -Jesus Christ our High Priest. Priests are the ones who enter. As Pastor Emeka said, priests are raised with commandments. The more the level of your separation, the more your entrance, and the more you draw near.
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life”
“Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning”
This commandment was of the beginning; this is what He wanted to give to man but was cut short. God is light! There is no occasion of stumbling in Him. When the scripture says that “he that hated his brother”, we think it means using a knife to remove your brothers intestine. It doesn’t have to do with what your brother had done or not done. If you notice, as you journey, what God tells you is to love despite what your brother does to you. It is about life and you just have to obey the commandment of eternal life. The commandment might be that you should not just talk: The Lord will just say you should not just talk because in the process of talking, you defend yourself and end up denting the image of the other person, thereby, not obeying the commandment of eternal life.
Our hearts need to be guarded; we have to live that we might walk circumspectly not as fools. It will take a lot of help and dying to enter into God: We need to die to all our reputations to enter into God. There are things that happen to us that we feel like tearing ourselves (we just feel that we must talk), but He’ll keep telling us not to revile.
“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth”
We have to be converted until we come into Christ. God will convict us and bring us to the place where we loose our reputation; trying to protect ourselves is misdemeanor. Something happened to me sometimes ago and I just wanted to make sure I kept my image. After it happened, I just couldn’t sleep. When we see the seriousness of God’s commandment, we loose our sleep. We have gotten to the realm of commandments and we must obey! We must obey because it is the light of the beginning; we should get this light!
We owe no man nothing but Love (Rom. 13:8): This is the ability to refrain from that which brings evil; I can give someone one billion dollars and yet, not love that person. What I see God doing to us is that He is stretching our endurance level and as they are stretch you, you are going upwards. This is the time to go down, it is the time be nothing. Say to yourself: “I am below nothing”. The devil doesn’t know this level; God would say to us: “don’t ask for judgement” – a priest doesn’t ask for judgement, it is mercy. The heart quickly says: “vindicate me oh Lord, judge me and my brother”. May God fill our hearts with compassion and may we plead for mercy. The priest also have infirmities, they are trying to purify him also from his infirmities and as a result, he is full of compassion for the people – not judgement (Heb. 5:2).
“Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered”
Are you seeing Jesus in this chapter of Hebrew? They had battered the Lord’s face to the extent that He couldn’t be recognised; His visage was so marred. No man has ever been pained the way the Lord was; apart from the physical pain, He was pained in His mind; in His soul. Despite all of that, what could come out of His mouth on the cross was “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”.
Let go! We often want to come to the place where we are vindicated; we don’t need that, all we need is the vindication of eternal life; eternal life is full of mercy and compassion. Due to our ignorance of what is right, we do whatever we want, but now that we know, we must take caution to obey. We would be locked out if we do not obey; it is not the hearers of these things, but the doer’s. This realm is not the realm of sweet and chewing gum love, it is the realm where we die. Even if your image is made bad and the one of the other is preserved, it doesn’t matter.
I want defilement to leave our camp; no defilement means no defence and no evil speaking – the realm where all evil speaking is done away with. Let life correct whatever situation it is. Can you take this discipline? I mean serious business because no defilement must remain. The job of priests is to handle death; we shouldn’t be justified and die; learn to laugh these days. The Lord told me to learn how to laugh; laugh and fall off the chair and when you stand up, stand up as if nothing happened. Don’t let the pain stay, don’t let it be your meditation – “On his law doth he meditate day and night” (Psalms 1:2).
No defilement! A door has been opened to us, and to enter this door, we need to learn not to be defiled to enter the Father. When Jesus was to be arrested, one of His disciples cut off the ear of the servants of the chief priests – self defence has been our life and our natural reaction. Jesus, full of compassion, even in that state, took the ear and put it back. God is the only one who is righteous and full of life (A minister in London told me that if he was the one, he would take the ear and chew and make sure there is no ear to put back). Our hearts need to be configured to the place where our hearts react naturally in compassion. God judges the heart; when truth comes to you, it helps your heart.
Let’s pray that we come into this realm of the Love of the Father – Love of the beginning.
Pastor Thompson concluding:
I perceive that God is bringing us to Gilgal where our hearts need to be circumcised the second time.
