Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?….

Colossians 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

The love of Christ is what binds us to the eternal intentions of God. For man was separated from God through the deceitfulness of sin which brought the punishment of death upon man. “Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” But God who is rich in mercy needed to reconcile man back to Himself through love, so, He gave as ransom His only begotten son, Jesus, the Christ, who is the propitiation of our sin. “1st John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

Traditions of men, guilt of religion, cultural denotations and so on have unconsciously suggested to us that sin is more powerful than the redemptive power of Christ, but I dare to suggest differently. Nothing is stronger than the love of Christ. It ties us perpetually to salvation.

The utmost desire and intention of God is that all men should be saved and God is doing all through the love of Christ which is also the love of God, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit to bring man into perfect salvation.

Love is the bond of perfection. In love, nothing is more important than seeing that one comes into perfection. And that is why no matter how terrible a man can be, the Holy Spirit is always present to try to speak him out of the bounds of sin. Jesus is never tired of trying. Love endures long.

The love of Christ is stronger than any hatred of the devil or the world. In hatred and anger, the devil and the world tries to afflict us with “tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword….” but in all these, we are more than conqueror through the Love of Christ which is our victory.

Jesus also said to us, “we shall be hated of ALL NATIONS for His name’s sake. And because of the increase in iniquity, the Love many will grow cold, but they that endure to the end shall come into Salvation.” Matt.24:9,11-12.

Also, as believers, we should not also grow cold in love but let the Love of Christ wax stronger in us one to another, not holding any offence against one another but living in the Love of Christ which is the bond of perfection.

God bless you. Keep the connection between you and God intact. No matter what happens along your way, never run away from Christ who is always running after you. Grace will save you till the end. Amen.
