Numbers 14:7-9 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
Many times, we find it hard to believe that God delights in us. We may easily believe it when things seem rosy and good, but when we face challenges that seem very overwhelming, we simply develop a temporal amnesia about God’s delight in us.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
The Lord delights in you and I. He finds pleasure in us and therefore, He is willing to give us our desires. Once we have that resolve in our hearts that the Lord delights in me and He is willing to give me all my desires, we will pray better in faith.
Prayer shouldn’t be mechanical. It should flow out of the knowledge of God’s love for you and that He is pleased with you. That also explains why “no man can please God without faith”. Faith is a knowledge of God’s love for man, and then addressing God on the basis of love.
Let me sound this to your heart and minds again, the Lord delights in you, therefore He is willing to bless you not just according to your limited desires, but far exceedingly abundantly more than you can ever ask or think. Yes, He wills.
What then does the Lord requires of us?
The requirements of the Lord are easy and not burdensome the way religion has painted it. The Lord is pleased with you once you can walk in faith. The Lord is not interested in your faults, no. Rather, He wants to make you perfected by riding on your weakness. If only you can trust in Him and admit your helplessness to Him in faith, then His strength will make you perfect.
Do not rebel against God. To rebel means to out of His ways and instructions. The Lord wants us to trust His words and obey them such that they become a platform for Him to ride in majesty. Jesus said to His disciples, “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” Don’t rebel against God, don’t despise His words.
Then, do not fear the adversary. Often times, the challenge seems bigger that we somehow disbelieve the capacity of God to deal with the situation. The mountain seems so immovable that we doubt God’s ability and willingness to uproot it. This instruction is for you, don’t fear the challenge, rather have faith in the ability and willingness of God to bring solutions.
Impossibility is not possible for two sets of people;
Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.
1. God loves you and delights in you.
2. God delights and is willing to give you all your desires even much more.
3. Have faith in God’s delight in you, therefore pray to Him in love and trust for Him.
4. Don’t rebel against God ans His words.
5. Do not fear the adversary.
God bless you.
