Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Psalms 103:10, 12. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

The intention of today’s devotion is not to encourage us to keep living the life of sin, but for us to ensure that we abide in the blessedness of our new found life in Christ Jesus. When you come into the understanding of your life in Christ Jesus, you will naturally without struggle live above sin. The old man was made subject to sin and death, but the new man has power and dominion over the power of sin and death.

One of the blessing of God to us is that He willfully chose us to be Holy and blameless before Him in love. The Lord cannot behold iniquity, yet He has bestowed on us the gift of righteousness such that He sees us as Holy and upright(blameless) before Him just as we abide in Christ Jesus.

This is not a product of our doing. This is not as result of our works then we should have been able to boast. This is not a function of our abilities and capacities, but by the death and resurrection of Jesus. This is love in action. It’s the workings of the love of God in that while we were yet sinners, Jesus died for all and He is the propitiation(mediator of peace) of our sins. Hence, God sees Jesus Christ in us who has made us the righteousness of God.

The Psalm 103 blessed me so much while reading it. I like us to meditate upon it so carefully by the workings of the Holy Ghost. The Lord has removed our transgressions from us and has given us victory over sin and death. Yes, we have victory over the life of sin and death.

Here is the problem; many of us have been taught that no man is able to live without sin, that every man is under the yoke of sin. It might be true for the once who live after the likeness and imagery of Adam but for all who are in Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life which is in Christ Jesus has given us victory(total conquering freedom) from the law of sin and death. Hence, we are can say with boldness that “sin shall not have dominion over me, because I live under grace.”

As many of us as believed this, we will come into divine strength to live above sin and death. It’s rather unfortunate that people have so much attachments to the law of sin and death which was in Adam that they just believed it’s impossible to live a sinfree life and the more they stay son concious, the more they fall to the already defeated power of sin.

Friend, I can boldly say and declare, I AM NOT A SINNER. Why? There is no condemnation(remembrance of the guilt of sin) to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Rom.8:1. And also remember, “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

You can choose to believe otherwise, it’s a choice. This is not new creation reality message, it’s our blessing in Christ Jesus. Take it or leave it. Have a blessed day.
