1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

The most talked about subject is love. The phenomenon that has power to thrive anywhere in the world is love. The whole human race was built around ability to love and to be loved.

Unfortunately, the devil has perverted the conceptual understanding of love and have made people attach a rather bizarre undertone to the concept of love. Hence, the world picture love and sex as synonymous. That’s not true. Love is not sex and sex isn’t love. That’s a subject for another time.

This is how we know that we have moved from a state of perishing, a state of continuous decline, a state of decay, corruption and death, it is by loving our brethren. The question therefore arises, ‘how do I love?’ ‘And how far can I express my love?’

Before now, we’ve thought of love as intangible and abstract, but I submit to you that love is more tangible than the food you eat. The absence of love can be seen and felt even by the most insensitive person. Hence, the binding force of life is love. When love is lost, life is lost.

So, to come into life, we must first come into love. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. It was love that stopped the activity of death thereby initiating us into life.

How can I love? Love like Christ loved the church. How far can I express my love? To the point of death. Just as Christ demonstrated it. It hard for the human being to do. Yes, I agree. But with God all things are possible. All you need do to display this love of God is to join forces with God. Let God be the driving force of your love. Let your life be fully subjected in God’s love and you’ll find out you can even love the worst sinner and inspire such an one unto repentance.

The reason why we still have many unsaved persons around us is because we’ve not loved enough. Love is an active force that can bring anybody to repentance. Many know how to condemn, not many know how to show love. Show some love.
