Isaiah 28:9-11 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

It is the greatest intention of God not just save His people but also to teach them knowledge. God desires that we learn about/of Him. He wants to tell us many things but many are not willing to hear, they are dull of hearing. And when one cannot hear, faith cannot be inspired for ‘Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.’ We therefore hear Jesus repeatedly saying, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying.” Not many have the capacity to hear. The capacity to hear is also built by the word of God. The more intake of the word of God, the more exposure to the word of God, the more the capacity to hear is increased in you.

We now have a church setting where people are more interested in what God wants to do than what He has to say. The word of God is not so important to the average christian these days, what they travel to church programmes, mountains, camp meetings, and others for is to get a miracle rather than to hear what He will say. It’s time we changed from who we used to be to become that which God designed us to be.
God desire that we are learned in His knowledge and in His doctrine(conduct for living).

Who will He teach Knowledge?
The Lord is a man of great knowledge and He wishes to share these knowledge with His sons. He desires that we know Him more. The more of God we come to know, the more we grow above sin. The knowledge of sin is influenced by the type of knowledge we expose ourselves to. We need to expose ourselves to the knowledge of God. The last two pair Spirit of God are ‘the Spirit of Knowledge and the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.’ Is.11:2. They do not walk in isolation. They walk as twin. Once you begin to gain the knowledge of the Lord, you’ll automatically come into the Spirit of the fear of the Lord.

Isaiah 7:15-16 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

The Lord wants to wean us from just milk consumption. He wants us to get to feed on ‘butter and honey’ till we fully come to maturity. The composition of butter and honey is for maturing the sons. They will hence learn to choose good and detest/abhor evil. They will come into growth like Jesus and a testimony will be said about them, ‘they loved righteousness and hate iniquity’. Nothing guarantees this except we grow in to knowledge of God. It’s therefore important that we long to hear from God, to learn of His knowledge and doctrine. His knowledge will teach us about Him and His doctrine will teach us about His conducts.

Remember this scripture? “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,….” Hosea 4:6
The reason why many enter into captivity is because they lack knowledge. Anyone who lacks knowledge is blind and lives in the dark. Darkness is a bondage. It binds people. Come out of darkness today. Come to knowledge. The word of the Lord is a light to our path and a lamp to our feet. It’s able to give us both general and specific directions in life.

Matt.11:28-29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

God bless you as you desire a growth in Him. Wisdom is the principal thing, and in all your acquisition, acquire understanding. The bedrock of wisdom and understanding is knowledge. So desire the knowledge of God. Stay blessed.
