Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12b Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up… and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

There is so much power in the coming together of the believer. The isolation of one is not very good. When two or more believers come together, they create a synergy in the Spirit that makes more energy available. One of the subtle strategies of the devil is to cause offence to come between two or more believers and once offence is taken, it would lead to separation and distrust between them therefore causing a weak link in the defence system of the believers. We are stronger when knitted together. We are stronger when we abide together. We tend to be better positioned in grace when we abide together in unity. Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

There is a unity of the Spirit that is expected of us to keep, but many a times, we love to be separated and isolated, and this is weakening the body. For example, our body cannot work in isolation. The hand cannot disconnect itself from the body, neither can the leg work in isolation from the main body. The body works as a unit although have different functions.

It looks naturally intelligent to assume we cannot live with one another without disagreement. But I say, that it’s naturally acceptable doesn’t make it right. We must learn not to build offence from various disagreements we have. When love is perfected, there will never be offence between ourselves. Ephesians 4:31-32

Let us learn to be forgiving, loving one another with the love of Christ, kindly affectionate to one another, tenderhearted for Christ’s sake. To be tender hearted means to have aa heart that doesn’t pick offence easily.
God bless your heart.
