Galatians 1: 3-5 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Two important blessings of the new life in Christ is Grace and Peace. The blessing of God for the regenerated being is Grace, an endorsement by God and a tool that stops the flow of sin and iniquity, then Peace, which is dwelling in absolute safety/salvation. The only one who can guarantee total and absolute peace is God because He dwells in total safety. He is salvation. So, the introduction of Grace and Peace is a great blessing to the believer. Hence, the apostles will say “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” 2 Peter 1:2.

So, in explaining the actual work of the instrumentation of Grace and Peace, the apostle explained how Jesus gave himself for our sins and also delivered us from the evil of this world. It means that we were not just forgiven the sins of the past but also saved from the hold of sin and death. We were delivered from the reach of the corruption that is eating up the world. It’s rather unfortunate that although we’ve transferred and translated into life, many still live by the principle of darkness, many prefer to submit to the life of Egypt than to live by the principle of Zion.

Just like the Israelites, they were taken out of Egypt(death, a place of slavery and servitude), yet Egypt was not taken out of their minds. Although God led them through the wilderness so their minds will be renewed, hence serving the Lord in worship. God also instructed Moses to bless them thus “The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.” Numbers 6:24-27.

We need to stay in Grace and Peace. We need to live according to the will of God for Zion. Do not live by the principle of Egypt. It’s slavery. Live in the liberty of the spirit.
Enjoy the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and live in the Peace of God that will cover you from all evil. Amen.
