“And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.” (Ruth 1:2).

Good morning friend,
It’s good to be back after two days of break. Let’s continue from we left off.
This man with his family members, wife and children, went to sojourn in a strange land called Moab, leaving a place where abundance flows because of praise to God. Remember, to sojourn means ‘to live in a place temporarily’, but the scripture said ‘they continued there’. They chose to settle there. Many atimes, when we leave the presence of the Lord to join ourselves to the world, we assume it will be temporal, just to make little money, just to achieve one thing or the other, but quite unfortunately, we continue there. The world by it’s cunningness keep us more than the time we bargained for. There’s no point leaving the place of praise to join ourselves to the world. Stay with God. Stay in the place of praise. Stay in the place where grace, truth and mercy is guaranteed. Don’t join yourself to the idols of this world. They will keep you longer than you plan. They have only one agenda and that’s to destroy you and make you empty. They start by stealing from you, then killing you and ultimately destroying you. The pattern is always the same. Check it out anytime, anywhere. Nobody goes in there to come out as planned except by the intervention of God. That’s why God told Isaac not to go sojourn in a strange land but to sow in that land that seem plagued with famine. “And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.” (Genesis 26:2,12).
It is the Lord that blesses. Obey the Lord, listen to whatsoever He tells you. Don’t live out your plans, live in His will. God bless you.
