“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17).
There is no suitable time to rejoice. There is no better time to rejoice. God wants us to be filled with joy all the time. And ‘all the time’ includes 24hrs of the day, and 7days in the week.
To rejoice means to allow the joy experinced internally to fill your whole being, to dominate your actions, to dictate your response to life’s challenges, to express a joy that is first internal. To rejoice means to be filled with and controlled by a joy that flows from the inside. So, inspite of whatsoever circumstance, rejoice in the Lord.
“Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.” (Psalm 97:12).
“Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.” (Psalm 105:3-4).
So, how can we rejoice evermore? By seeking the Lord. Our heart will be filled with joy as we seek the Lord in truth and in spirit. There is no limit to seeking the Lord. Time is never a constrain to seeking the Lord and venue or location is never a debacle to seeking the Lord. We must hence seek the Lord all the time. We must give our whole to seeking Him. Remember, the scripture said, in the presence of the Lord is the fulness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures, hence, we must seek to abide in His presence. Seeking the world is seeking to be destroyed for friendship with the world is enmity with God.
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” (Colossians 3:1).
The quality of what you seek determines the quality of the life you live. Seek God, you’ll live a godly live. And when you get God, you get eternal joy. God bless you. Jesus is Lord.
