“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. ” (Matthew 6:9).
The knowledge of the Father is very essential to praying accurately. Often times, we whinge more than we commune with God in our prayers. We simply complain about the many problems we are facing, or simply start telling God about how much of wealth we desire. At other times, we heap and stockpile the pressures in school, work, church and think the only way to get rid of your lecturere, boss, colleague, or even unfriendly associates is to tell God to deal with them. No, prayer is much more than that.
Prayer is coming into perfect understanding of who God is, what is intentions are, His will, purposes and plans. Prayer is declaring the word of the Lord over all areas of one’s life by the help of the Holy Ghost. Prayer is coming into oneness with God about your life, a situation or event.
We cannot pray the right prayers except we know God. We cannot know God without praying the right prayers. The knowledge of God activates faith in you, and this is the answer to any prayer. So, don’t become frustrated in your prayer life, all you need is to start learning to know God. As you begin to learn of God, faith is activated, for to accept God is to have Faith. Therefore only a man of Faith receives from God.
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22).
Prayer is a product of Faith. By Faith we know God. No man can connect to the father without prayer. Prayer stirs Faith. Faith stirs knowledge. Knowledge brings Spirit of wisdom and revelation of Him, our understanding becomes enlightened, and by this we know:
1. The hope of our calling,
2. Riches of the Glory of His inheritance
3. Exceeding greatness of His power towards us. Eph. 1:17-20
God bless you.
