“That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE.” (Titus 3:7).
“Looking for that BLESSED HOPE, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” (Titus 2:13).
Man has been taught to spend all his lfe time chasing after the wrong hope. Man has been tutored to follow after the wrong course. The height of deception for man is to assume that all that is to be enjoyed is all that this life- earthly dimension life, offers. Infact, the real question to be asked is, ‘is death the final destination for all men?’ The asnwers is NO. To die in this life is just the beginning of another living. It’s just that it is eternal in nature(to live eternally in God or eternally separated from God is all dependent on what we spend all the days of our life seeking).
The real hope is eternal life, which only Jesus Christ offers. How wonderfully good will it be to be where Jesus is, sitted at the right hand of God on high.
The real essense of believing in Jesus Christ is not first about living morally, and that why we’ve had so much misconceptions in our churches and societies at large. Jesus said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should NOT PERISH, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.” (John 3:16).
Eternal life is the main subject of believing. Eternal life is not pious or religious living, and that’s why Jesus never became friends with the Pharisees and Sadducees. He was friends with those who needed eternal life like the Samaritan woman, Zacchaeus, Matthew(tax collector, Mary Magdalene and others. Those adjudged sick who needed physicians.
You’ll do well if you can look away from the traditions and doctrines of men and focus on Jesus, the one who promised us the only true hope of eternal life.
” I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. ” (John 10:10).
Let’s seek eternal life together and forsake the pursuit of ephemerals.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. ” (Matthew 6:33).
Have a blessed day. Seek life. Seek Christ.
