“For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with PATIENCE WAIT for it.” (Romans 8:24-25).
“For we through the Spirit WAIT for the HOPE of righteousness by FAITH.” (Galatians 5:5).
The instrumentation upon which Faith, Hope and Love is built on is patience. Patience is so so important for us as believers who have been saved by Faith, Hope and God’s divine Love. You would live a life of frustration if patience is not activated in you.
I remember a lady I was trying to teach something a day and she seemed not to be getting it. I was agitated and wanted her to get it as fast as possible, but she wasn’t. So, I wanted to leave her. She looked at me and said, ‘Pee. Ay, patience is a virtue o’. I felt really bad at myself for not been patient enough to help her learn.
God has been so patient with man and He still is. Inspite of our unfaithfulness disobedience and insurbodination at many times, He remained patient with us. Without patience, destruction of a long term plan is inevitable. Many like to concentrate on the events of the moment to join a conclusion but that’s myopic. God wants us to see the bigger picture.
Abraham loved God more than His promise. So He waited for Hope in Faith, by growing in love with God as he journeyed with Him. He loved God to the point that he was willing to let go the supposed son of his love, Isaac, for the ultimate and Almighty One that he loves, God.
So we pray that God activates patience in us, for without patience we will run other people’s race, the race that leads to death. “…and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” (Hebrews 12:1).
The promise of eternal life supercedes all other promises of physical blessings. If we can be imparted with eternal life, then, our lives will be blessed and will be a blessing to all. Wait patiently for Hope in Faith. Love God by accepting God’s Love.
God bless you. Have a blessed day.
